The Global Lens Collection includes more than 85 unique cinematic perspectives from over 35 nations. In an effort to expose audiences to new voices, the Global Film Initiative makes these films available through theatrical, non-theatrical, home video, television, educational and airline markets in the United States and Canada.
The Global Lens film series is a program of the Global Film Initiative, which was founded with a mission of promoting cross cultural understanding through cinema. The Education Program presents educational screenings of Global Lens films for students in locations where the touring series is shown, and also publishes free, innovative discussion guides and learning resources that explore social, cultural and historical themes introduced by films.
All proceeds from the Global Lens film series support international filmmaker grants, educational programming and resources, touring film exhibitions and other philanthropic initiatives and programs sponsored by the Global Film Initiative.
Waarom hebben wij dat nou niet (meer)? 
Had er nog nooit van gehoord totdat ik vanmiddag erachter kwam dat hun de DVD van Dooman River (2010 | Zhang Lu) gaan uitgeven. Weet niet hoe betrouwbaar ze zijn maar ze hebben wel een heel gedurfd en afwijkend programma / catalogus.

Zit al tijden te overwegen er DVD's van te bestellen, ze zijn alleen een beetje prijzig. Maar ze hebben een mooie en eigenzinnige catalogus.
