High time this was added. Absurd French detective with a whole host of unusual figures who end up in a mysterious (serial) murder case, with regularly extended scenes that are not directly to the point but do add to the absurd-comedic atmosphere.
Quinquin is a cross country boy who has apparently already found the love of his life: his neighbor Eve. Together with some friends they go on an adventure through the beautiful northern French coastal region of Pas-de-Calais and soon they become involved in a bizarre case, which I will not elaborate on. The other protagonist is Chief Investigator Van der Weyden, an elderly man who has the necessary tics, but no less soberly tries to analyze the case. There are also the necessary secondary characters and side plots that provide extra color.
Fantastic miniseries from alternative filmmaker Bruno Dumont, which will certainly not please everyone, just like his films.
