Julie Hallerton is the star of Cypress Gardens in Florida where she shows off her swimming skills and takes pictures with the tourists. She is in love with her boss Ray Lloyd, but he is so busy that he doesn't notice. It's only when nightclub singer Barry Gordon begins to woo Julie at length that Ray becomes aware of his feelings for Julie.
