Hollywood Banker plot
In the 1980s, Dutchman Frans Afman becomes Hollywood's foremost banker and one of the most powerful men in the industry. He was previously introduced to the film world through the Italian producer Dino De Laurentiis. Together they develop a financing system that will change the independent film industry forever, called the pre-sales system. For nearly twenty years, Frans has been instrumental in the creation of films such as Platoon, Terminator and Dances with Wolves. He is also the founder of many independent production companies, such as Cannon, Hemdale and Carolco. With ever-increasing successes, greed also grows. People of dubious character begin to meddle in independent film.
