Slamený Klobouk plot
Hitman Maurice Fadinard has spent his entire inheritance and sees the only way out to marry Helen Nonankur, the daughter of a wealthy gentleman farmer. After his last visit to his mistress, Maurice's horse eats a married woman's straw hat in the company of Lieutenant Emil. The latter gives Maurice a choice: either he ensures that the lady gets exactly the same hat back, or Emil ensures that Maurice's intended marriage does not take place.
