Tour du Faso plot

Documentary about three amateur cyclists who participate in the Tour du Faso. With the Tour de France as a great example, people tour through West African Burkina Faso in various stages, with the great contrast to the French counterpart that you mainly ride on sandy and unpaved roads. However, the focus of the film is not on the competition aspect, but on the personal motivation of the participants. Also of crucial importance is the endearing and bizarreness of this little-commercialized game. That is why the film team takes two jeeps and a hand-painted 'double-decker' into the 'advertising caravan'.

Nice, albeit somewhat unstructured documentary about amateur cyclists who participate in the Tour du Faso, a tour of ten stages on often unpaved roads through West African Burkina Faso. Lots of wonderful local color and entertaining chaos during and outside the competition, although it is a pity that real focus is missing and you cannot really sympathize with the various participants. My sympathy mainly went out to the German team, which constantly had to deal with unfair rules and corruption.
