During the period of the 'Third Reich' more than 1200 feature films were produced. About a hundred of them are explicit propaganda films, according to experts. Even today, more than 70 years after premiere, more than 40 films are still inaccessible to the public. Decades after the fall of National Socialism, which films are still so dangerous that they must be kept under lock and key? Some pirated copies are circulating on the internet and the few public displays are in high demand. 'Verbotene Filme' presents these 'forbidden' films and looks for who their audience is and what effect they still have today in Germany and countries where Nazi propaganda was once taught.
