A New York Heartbeat plot

It's 1959 in New York. Seventeen-year-old Spider tries to make a name for himself as the leader of a gang. Things go awry the day he steals a briefcase full of money from Casket Mike, a notorious mobster. Spider runs away and finds shelter with the wayward Tamara. She is the niece of legendary mob boss Big Didi. Spider is safe with Tamara for the time being, but he is completely dependent on her.
