Noose for a Lady plot
Simon Gale returns from Uganda to find that his cousin Margaret has been convicted of poisoning her husband. He learns that the date of her execution is only seven days away. He refuses to believe in her guilt. Together with Margaret's stepdaughter Jill, he sets out to find the real killer. They interrogate anyone who knew the dead man relatively well.

A whodunit in theatrical style. Price plays a detective who has seven days to find the real culprit. All the characters appear, each with their own secrets. Beautiful clothes, by the way. The denouement is straight out of a Christie novel. Easy to watch. Noteworthy: The minister on death row: "You really have to read it, it'll stop you from worrying." 2.7*
