Moeders Springen Niet van Flats plot

Elena Lindemans is the daughter of a psychiatric patient, who ended her life in 2002 by jumping from a flat. This documentary is about her mother's elusive illness, the taboos on psychiatry and suicide and the fact that in 2013, psychiatric patients in our country still receive little or no assistance with suicide. In the film, Elena visits her own family, including her mother's sister and boyfriend. She also spoke to her mother's GP, psychiatrist and the head of psychiatry, who did not want to consider her mother's request for euthanasia at the time.
