The Perfect Wave plot
Ian McCormack leads an everyday life in Christchurch, New Zealand. He is a 24-year-old inconspicuous teenager who is always looking for the perfect wave. He drags his best surf buddy with him everywhere to join him in tempting fate and on a wild adventure. His overly protective, religious mother reluctantly lets him leave to turn to God crying when he gets in trouble. But for Ian, his behavior is a broader quest, beyond the next wave and beyond the next party. He discovers that he wants something different than the surf and party life. One day he finds a paradisiacal beach, with luxurious holiday accommodation and incredible surf.
