Sound of Torture plot

From her hometown of Stockholm, the Swedish-Eritrean Meron Estefanos makes the radio program Voices of Eritreans. The weekly broadcast is entirely devoted to the hundreds of Eritrean refugees who are being held hostage in appalling conditions in Egypt's Sinai desert. The Bedouins – who have held sway in the desert since the outbreak of the Egyptian revolution – kidnap Eritreans fleeing to Israel to demand large ransoms from their families.
