De Val van Aantjes plot

Cinematic interpretation of the much-discussed rise and fall of Willem Aantjes, a man who considered politics his calling. The pressure that this put on his marriage plays a prominent role. Aantjes would become the first party leader of the CDA, but in 1978 stumbled upon an alleged war history. According to this story, where fact and fiction intertwine, NATO and the Air Force plotted against him. His own silence, of course, didn't help.
