De Gezinsvoogd plot

Jeff Chapman grew up in a suburb of Amsterdam, he speaks the language of the street. Some families he has known for 15 years. He is a family guardian at the William Schrikker Group, a nationally operating institution for youth protection, juvenile probation and foster care. A passionate, unorthodox guardian who tackles one parenting problem after another. Constantly on the go. 'Putting out fires' as Chapman calls it. The documentary 'The Family Guardian' paints a picture of powerlessness and grief, but also of good intentions and frantic efforts to limit damage to the children involved as much as possible.
