A mediocre drama film...

Boring story...

Decent acting...

Restless and too fast camera movements...

Great background sound/music

(Dolby Digital)...

Nice HD, but sometimes 4:3...

Not worth it...

Last week I saw broos, the predecessor of this film. And now this one. I found broos toe-curlingly bad, this one really hits home. The film turns into a documentary. The only dissonance is her vanity Roosen. Because of her I get a 2.5 ☆

Yet another special film by Mijke de Jong. A group of girlfriends guides one of them in her dying process. Initially, I thought the design was beautiful. I had the impression that the dialogues were not written out in advance. There were some ideas for scenes and they were recorded along the way and partly improvised. At least that's how it came across to me. I also thought it was quite realistic when I look at the few groups of girlfriends around me that I observe from a distance. Women can really whine about nothing. But then again, I'm probably a man for thinking that.

In any case, for me it made this film a realistic group of friends. But as the film progressed it became more and more realistic and I wondered if I was really watching a film or if it was more of a documentary in which the main actress really died. And that made it a very special and moving film that I will not soon forget I think. Even the ending song of the film seems to have been made and sung by her real daughter. Also very beautiful and special.
