"Three wild hearts. One sexy romantic comedy."

After Connie (Kelly Lynch) is abandoned by her friend Ellen (Sherilyn Fenn), she hires a male escort (William Baldwin) to seduce her ex-lover and then break her heart. As Joe slowly wins over Ellen, something no one anticipated happens. He falls in love with her. This makes him doubt his assignment but also his current way of life as an escort. Meanwhile, an acquaintance of Joe's has been released from prison and is looking for the escort for whom he feels great hatred. He blames Joe for his jail term and is determined to make him pay for it.

This movie is somewhere far in the corner of childhood sentiment for me, no doubt because I saw it back when I was dealing with similarly complicated girl-friend stuff. Once went to because of Sherilyn Fenn's name on the title role, as she was then at the peak of her fame because of Twin Peaks, but she's effortlessly outplayed by Lynch in every way - prettier, cuter, and above all a much more pleasant character in the movie, with her touching hopeless crush. Then it doesn't matter that much that the plot sucks after all.

Furthermore, a rather unique film in that Sting does not irritate me in the soundtrack for once. Often quite beautiful songs, but too trite.
