Rosie plot
Lorenz Meran (40), a gay writer suffering from writer's block, has left Berlin to return to eastern Switzerland to care for his elderly mother Rosie. When confronted with the fact that the always lively Rosie refuses both home care and a stay in a nursing home, he concludes that he has been stuck in his hometown of Altstätten for quite some time. But it's not just the struggle for her independence that bothers him, he also struggles with the loss of her dignity.
