In the 20th century, the Earth is threatened by an alien race that kidnaps and kills people and even animals in order to reuse their body parts. In the year 1980, the top secret military organization SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organisation) was founded in hopes of defending the Earth against this alien threat. This organization operates from a secret location under the Henderson-Straker film studio in London. SHADO also has a base on the moon that detects approaching UFOs early, plus a fleet of submarines. General James Henderson and Commander Ed Straker of SHADO can count on a team of highly trained and well-equipped women and men to fight the regularly incoming enemy UFOs.
