De Pretenders plot

The film is set in a cafeteria on a corner in an old working-class neighbourhood. It is the weekend of 4 and 5 August 1962. A year before, Evert left the neighborhood with his mother. He is now coming back for the weekend to show his friends and Greet the cafeteria keeper how well he is doing. Sturdy in his suit, his hair combed and armed with an expensive camera, he steps back into the cafeteria that Saturday night. Not only Evert appears to have changed. Pretensions and naivety are the dramatic extremes, but they are also inextricably linked.
