Hafið plot
The sequel to Kormákur's debut film (101 Reykjavík), it deals with the perils of a prominent family working in fish processing in a small village. Þórður, the family patriarch, tries to persuade his son Ágúst, who studies business management in Paris, to save the struggling company from ruin. Ágúst doesn't feel like fish, he prefers to write songs. The eldest son Haraldur, who runs the fish auction but does not have the confidence of his father, and his brother-in-law hatch a plan to take over the company. Everyone seems to know everything about each other, without it being allowed or allowed to be said. That turns into a long night in which divergent interests, secrets, bitterness and hidden lust come to a boil.
