In the 20th century, the Earth is threatened by an alien race that kidnaps and kills people and even animals to use them for their body parts. In the year 1980, the top secret military organization SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organisation) was founded in the hope of defending the Earth against this alien threat. This organization operates from a secret location under the Henderson-Straker film studio in London.

Terrible. I suspected it wouldn't amount to much. Toy weapons, aliens in silver foil, playmobil vehicles... For a film from 1980, this looks very sixties. Add to that boring procedural dialogues and as a film this is simply nothing. The "underwater shots" seem to have been shot in a regular aquarium after removing the goldfish.

SHADO is a secret government agency that has to prevent aliens from entering our atmosphere and landing on Earth. The system that has been set up does not always work and sometimes one does get through. Towards the end, a whole invasion is about to happen. The plot actually sounds a bit like Men in Black and in terms of style, this is the kind of film that Mars Attacks! refers to.

I was curious about this but curiosity doesn't always pay off.
