The Ship from Shanghai plot
American playboy Howard Vazey meets English Dorothy Daley in Shanghai. Both board the sailing yacht of Viola and Paul Thorpe. They decide to cross the Pacific to the United States. Mad steward Ted incites the crew to mutiny after a storm damages the yacht. Ted poses as a captain and captures the wealthy. The crew leaves the yacht when there is a shortage of water and Ted then insists that Dorothy come to his cabin…
