In the run-up to the New Year's Eve celebrations, Commissioner Rousseau is confronted with an extremely delicate matter. The police discover the lifeless body of a young girl. She is the third victim in a row. The media speculates about a serial killer at work, but the police follow a different route. Mariella De Luca, a young and mysterious inspector, joins the team. The collaboration between Rousseau and De Luca takes them to Italy...
