We follow the little crook Max, and a white Lancia. That Lancia belongs to his mistress Lysette. Secretly renting out the Lancia to foreigners brings in a lot of money. Until a hit-and-run is committed. And so Max ends up in a world of blackmailers, gamblers and blackmailed politicians.
