The film tells the story of Alan Turing, a British mathematician and computer scientist avant la lettre. It covers his highs and lows, his extraordinary achievements and his persecution of the government until his tragic death in 1954. In the last 18 months of his life, he visits the psychiatrist Dr. Franz Greenbaum, who tries to help him. The conversations between Turing and Greenbaum explore the pivotal moments in his controversial life and examine the pressures that may have contributed to his early death. It features people who really knew him and contemporary experts in technology and science, including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
