Der Tag des Malers plot

Der Tag des Malers is about the painter's view of his female model, in other words, about how voyeurism is transformed into culture. It is an erotic adventure film in which the theme is the viewer himself. It is a walkway through the image worlds of the painter who focuses on the naked female model. Associations are possible with paintings by Dürer, Marey, Matisse and Seurat, Courbet's "Origin of the World", Duchamp's "L'étant donnés" and many other works of art. Those associations are also intended as such. In the film, the artistic expressions of painting, video and computer images merge.
