C.K. Dezerterzy plot
The story is set in the military barracks in a small town during the First World War. The soldiers in the barracks are 'political suspects'. They are different characters from all over the Austro-Hungarian Empire: Czechs, Jews and even Italians, but the officers in charge are Germans. A new lieutenant arrives with a mission to bring order. He is a sadist and takes pleasure in humiliating the men. But the soldiers eventually get tired of him and decide to teach him a lesson.
