The 24 Hour War plot
The rivalry between Ford and Ferrari at Le Mans is one of the most famous in motorsport history. It started in 1963 when Henry Ford II tried to buy Ferrari for the ailing Ford Motor Company, which was crushed in racing by GM and the Corvette. After months of negotiations, Enzo Ferrari said no. Thus he refused to support Ford for what he loved most: racing. Henry Ford II was furious and vowed to build a racing car that would dethrone Ferrari.
