Suburban former punk rocker Kelly longs for a life she can no longer have. Kelly has just become a mother, but is struggling to adjust to her new situation. Her husband has a busy job and is rarely at home and she doesn't know how to handle her crying baby. 17-year-old disabled Cal is frustrated with his lack of control over how he is treated. When the two meet, an unlikely friendship develops, bringing the perfect spark needed to make them both believe in life again.
