Pray for Dawn plot

Julia, better known as Jewel to her friends and family, is a teenage runaway who is unwilling to live by the rules and boundaries set by her parents. She ran away once before, but that was kept quiet by her father's connections. This time, however, elections are just around the corner, and a scandal over a runaway teenager leaves Congressman Robert Jennings desperate. Half the New York police force is quietly looking for her, but the problem is she's off the streets... she's trapped in an underground bunker after being kidnapped by a sadistic serial killer.
