Cinéma Inch'Allah! plot
"Cinéma Inch'Allah! is a story of four friends growing up making movies."
Documentary about four people from Brussels of Moroccan descent who enthusiastically pursue a career in film and are not deterred by a lack of money and resources. More than thirty low budget films have soul mates Mohamed, Farid, Noon and Reda to their credit. Usually they also play the leading role in their hilarious disco adventures, horror pastiches or action movies. Occasionally they also strike a serious chord, when they write scenes about unfaithful husbands or absent fathers. Their own lives often run parallel to the theme of their latest production. It is very touching how they have elevated their love for the seventh art of amateurism to a professionalism that functions smoothly for them. We meet the four when they start to promote their most recent DVD in Brussels video stores and start casting yet another new print. It all seems like one big party. But then doubt creeps in. When cinema fails, Allah offers comfort.
