Out of the Fog plot
Young inmate George Mallon is released from prison and placed in a home for ex-convicts run by Tom Daniels. Mallon has a gruff character and an inferiority complex. Yet despite his criminal record, he manages to find work as a driver for Eastgate Furnishing. Meanwhile, a serial killer preys on blond women in a shady neighborhood. Mallon is unlucky: he becomes the prime suspect and does little to convince the police of his innocence.

An early sixties thriller, reasonably well-written. The writing is rather simple and likely reflects the target audience at the time. The story is tight and moves along quickly. That doesn't detract from the fact that Summer and Travers, in particular, deliver excellent performances. The plot could have been better. 2.6*
