"The sun-tan vogue has swept the world...and here it is! In a jazz-time all-dialogue comedy-drama."
While staying in a fashionable seaside town, Mr. Reynolds has an affair with Mrs. Lyons-King. Reynold's daughter Peggy thinks she's an adventurer. Mrs. Reynolds is fascinated by Roger Fleming, another young lady's boyfriend, and Peggy's sister Janet falls in love with Clinton Darrow. Mr. Reynolds is about to be persuaded to buy some worthless stock and Darrow has some indiscreet letters from Janet. Janet comes to Darrow's room in vain to collect these letters and is seen by Bill and Peggy unnoticed. Janet is threatened with extortion by Darrow and plans to kill him.
