A documentary about the neurotransmitter dymethyltriptamine. Dimethyltryptamine also known as DMT is an indole alkaloid with a molecular structure related to the neurotransmitter serotonin. The substance is naturally produced by a wide range of organisms, including humans. The function of the substance is not yet clear, although research shows that DMT may play a role in schizophrenia, near-death experiences and visual dreams. This documentary tries to provide clarity about this special substance.
