Mekong Hotel plot
'Mekong Hotel' is a portrait of a hotel near the Mekong River in the north-east of Thailand. The river forms the border between Thailand and Laos. In the bedrooms and on the terraces Apichatpong held a rehearsal with his crew for a film he wrote years ago: Ecstasy Garden. The film switches between fact and fiction, showing the bond between a vampire-like mother and her daughter, the young lovers and the river.
