"New Fun at the Movies! It's as exciting as a game of chance."
While the head of the physics department at Trent University, Dr. Reed, giving his farewell address, four professors wonder who will succeed him. Susan Nash realizes that a woman won't stand a chance. Her male colleagues Marvin Griswald, John Lamont and Alan Shaw, on the other hand, are hopeful. Both John and Alan love Reed's granddaughter Deborah, while Susan is in love with John. Marvin's wife Janet, who is not a faculty member but a brilliant physicist, has been able to improve her husband's position through her work.
