Stressed out teacher Trish Fahey (Nancy Travis) can't believe her students aren't making an effort and that their parents don't care. This is particularly the case with Justin Kremer, a popular basketball player who underperforms in her class. Trish has him suspended from the basketball team and blames his parents' poor guidance. Her perspective changes drastically when Trish runs into Molly. Molly is a mysterious stranger with the intention of helping her see things differently. When Trish is in a car accident and later regains consciousness, she discovers that she is living the life of Justin's mother Cindy Kremer, whom she has so criticized...
