"Wham! It's a Laugh Hit!"
Attorney Richard Clark loses case after case for being too gentle. His company threatens to go bankrupt and he receives the advice from his employee to tackle things hard and ice cold from now on. The change seems to be working, but his girlfriend Janie doesn't like his new attitude.

Small comedy that packs a lot of speed into its 57 minutes, and I haven't even mentioned all those familiar faces that pop up in minimal roles (almost cameos): Edmund Gwenn, Will Wright, Mae Marsh, Anne Revere, Frank Ferguson, Tor Johnson... Still quite nice because Jack Benny is always worth it and because Eddie "Rochester" Anderson as his butler Shufro is almost always the better of him verbally. Apparently Ernst Lubitsch helped with a number of re-takes, which may explain why this film is more fun than you might expect based on the average director Sidney Lanfield at the helm.
