The Westland Case plot
"THE CRIME CLUB IS ON THE SCREEN!"
Private detective Bill Crane is a fine investigator, but he has a weakness for blondes and whiskey. Bill gets a call from his friend and attorney Charles Frazee. Frazee asks Crane if he can find evidence that could exonerate Robert Westland. Westland has been sentenced to death for the murder of his wife. Crane is soon literally under fire and he has to deal with the equally dangerous blonde Agatha Hogan.
