Sorok Pervyy plot

Maryutka is a sniper in the Red Army in Turkestan. She has already killed forty, but misses her next, 41st target; a handsome lieutenant. The two end up on a ship together. He as a prisoner, she as his escort. Then they find themselves in a storm, shipwrecked and end up on an island. The lieutenant gets pneumonia and Maryutka nurses him.
