On February 22 of this year, Arnon Grunberg celebrated his 40th birthday in the Argentine city of Salta. Director David Kleijwegt was also among the guests. He decided to take the birthday party as the starting point for a documentary. He tries to figure out how writing and life are intertwined. In addition to various guests, including his American publisher Scott Moyers, girlfriend Marinka Alsemgeest, publisher Vic van de Reijt and translator Karol Lesman, Grunberg's 84-year-old mother also speaks.
