Marécages plot
Jean and Marie are the owners of a farm and expect their son Simon to lend a hand. Unfortunately, Simon does his job half-heartedly. Some time ago there was an accident in which Simon's little brother, who had been placed under his care, was drowned. Meanwhile, the farm is running at a loss. The relationship between Simon and his parents is further sharpened when Simon hires a helper - a local pauper - and the latter manages to take advantage of Marie's vulnerability.
