4 Tage im Mai plot
Four days before the end of World War II, a Soviet captain and his patrol occupy a children's home on the Baltic coast. On the beach is a German army unit that wants to be transferred to Sweden and from there to surrender to the British. Both sides are tired. Only a 13-year-old still believes in the ultimate victory and tries to pit both groups against each other, even though he is only a child. Something like a 'normal' life develops between the Russians and the local inhabitants, until unexpectedly after the capitulation there is still danger.
