Les Hommes Libres plot
Paris, 1942. The Algerian immigrant Younes is arrested by the police during the Second World War and fears for his life. However, he is offered to guard the Paris mosque in exchange for his life. This is his only chance of survival. There he unexpectedly befriends the Jewish singer Salim. He convinces him to join the resistance and despite the risks, Younes turns against the police.
