Seen on the new bluray release from Eureka. This version has the 80min version, but also the longer uncut version of 112min.

The story follows Jin Hu (Wang Yu) who investigates the mysterious suicide of his father. He supposedly jumped from the roof of a casino, but Jin knew that his father was not a gambler at all. Directed by Lo Wei, who also appears in a small role. This was originally supposed to be the 3rd collaboration with Bruce Lee, and the title was going to be called “Yellow Faced Tiger”. Due to their difficult working relationship that eventually ended in a fight, this went off the map. Lee went on to direct his own film “The Way of the Dragon” and Lo Wei was now without a leading man.

You will also see a lot of familiar faces who also played in “The Big Boss” and “Fist of Fury”. James Tien and Tien Feng will probably be the most well-known to most. Fight scenes were quite nice, and the deadly scene in the cable car really stood out. As far as I could see, there were no safety nets or anything like that, really a crazy stunt! Six years later this was done again in James Bond's “Moonraker”, of course with safety measures.

Not the level of “One Armed Boxer”, but still a nice martial arts flick!
