Mannenbroeders van Kootjebroek plot
Ten years after the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in 2001, foot and mouth disease in Kootwijkerbroek is still an open wound. The Kootwijkerbroekers do not believe that they have had foot and mouth disease. The trauma of the massive animal culling is a wound that will not heal as long as The Hague maintains that the disease has been correctly diagnosed. Their trust in the government has been irreparably broken. In 'Menbroeders van Kootjebroek' we see four main characters struggling with this past, each in their own way, but united in their desire to reveal the truth. Will there come a time when they can put the past to rest?
