In 1969, during the Vietnam War, a cameraman codenamed 84 Charlie MoPic accompanies a special unit of six men on a dangerous mission. Lieutenant Drewry has just graduated and therefore enjoys little respect from his men. They really only listen to Sergeant O'Donigan, nicknamed OD. He immediately considers MoPic an intruder. The camera records all facets of the war: the boredom, the silly jokes, the fear and the horror. While several American soldiers are killed in front of the camera lens, MoPic realizes that he must survive in order to show his film to the world.
