Chased by constable Le Trom, de Rooie runs across the Vughtse heath. In a moment of inattention, the poacher falls into his own trap. Before he takes his last breath, he pronounces a curse on the descendants of the constable. 148 Years later, ten children discover that they are the descendants of Le Trom.
