Women Are Heroes plot

'Women Are Heroes' takes the viewer to favelas in Morro da Provincia (Rio de Janeiro), slums in Kenya (Kibera, Nairobi), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Monrovia (Liberia) and Kashmir (India). Street artist JR interviews the women there about their living conditions and the dramas that have left their mark. He transforms the places into public galleries by placing gigantic black and white photographs, close-ups of the women, on walls, roofs, bridges, ramps and means of transport.
