Taste the Waste plot

The documentary 'Taste the Waste' gives an impression of the global food waste situation. In the film we are introduced to the world of supermarkets, growers, food experts, eco-activists and politicians who deal with this problem in different ways. For example, we see why supermarkets overload their shelves with a variety of the same product, how sushi is used as feed for pigs and how much our food waste contributes to world hunger. But also what alternatives exist to reduce our waste without losing our current standard of living. 'Taste the Waste' shows us that things can be done differently.
